Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from China Agricultural University investigated the effects of phenols and flavonoids on nutrient metabolism, antioxidant activity, immunity, and intestinal morphology in broilers. The study found that the sorption of phenols and flavonoids on activated charcoal improved protein metabolism, antioxidant status, immunity, and intestinal morphology in broilers. The researchers concluded that phenols and flavonoids, in combination with activated charcoal, provide similar functions to herbal extracts from multiple Chinese medicinal herbs. The study suggests that these findings could have implications for improving broiler health and nutrition. [Extracted from the article]
