Abstract
- Today's world relies on solar energy, a renewable energy source that can be used for a variety of purposes. Cooking, water heating, space heating, power generation, and agricultural drying are some of the most common uses of solar thermal energy. This paper presents experiments on the cooking times of rice and lentils in a solar concentrator combined with and without thermal energy storage systems. The Phase Change Materials (PCM) containers were filled with water, paraffin wax and stearic acid in solid aluminum storage. Experimentally, the heat storage was tested for use in process heating with a concentrated solar collector. This investigation and analysis have been carried out to estimate the effect of temperature on the thermal solar collector. Also study and measure the temperature for different cooking ingredients during the summer period. The experiment was carried out with and without consideration of PCMs, and it achieved a maximum and minimum temperature of 107℃ and 30℃ respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
