Abstract

The IET Radar, Sonar & Navigation (RSN) journal has a history of publishing special issues focused on new technologies or conference papers. They plan to continue and expand these special issues under the oversight of Professor Alessio Balleri. The journal has also embraced the open access model, with 27 of their hybrid journal programs transitioning to Gold OA in 2020. They now have 43 open access journals in their portfolio. Open access offers benefits such as wider readership, faster impact, and increased recognition for authors. The RSN journal prides itself on its rapid processing and publication times, with an average time of 29 days from submission to first decision and 25 days from acceptance to e-first publication. The editors express their gratitude to the anonymous reviewers for their contributions to maintaining the journal's quality and speed. The article concludes with a statement that no new data were created or analyzed during the study. [Extracted from the article]
