An available method for a synthesis of N-substituted (E)-2-(diphenylphosphoryl)aziridines with high yields by the reaction of (1,2-dibromoethyl)(diphenyl)phosphine oxide with a number of primary amines, in particular, methyl-, ethyl-, isopropyl-, tert-butyl-, cyclohexyl- and benzylamines at room temperature in the presence of sodium hydroxide, has been developed.
