Abstract

Richard Debs, the founding president of Morgan Stanley's international arm in the 1970s, has passed away at the age of 93. Debs played a key role in expanding Morgan Stanley's operations overseas, particularly in London and Tokyo. He later became part of a group of former executives who carried out a boardroom coup to oust the CEO. Debs was also involved in various philanthropic endeavors, including serving as chairman of the board of trustees at Carnegie Hall. [Extracted from the article]
