Abstract

Organic phosphorous pesticides had been increased due to increasing demand for agricultural products. These chemicals were considered highly toxic and threatened human life as they attack the human endocrine system. This review paper aimed to list the suggested methods to eliminate these chemicals in an aqueous solution. This review will concentrate on the acoustic treatment degrading process, as well as the impact of process factors on removal efficiency, such as the initial concentration of organic phosphorus pesticides, ultrasonic frequency, irradiation intensity, and bulk solution temperature. The research also will explain the effects of other degradation processes combined with ultrasonic such as Fenton, photolysis, or the addition of catalysts like as ZnO, hydrogen peroxide, or titanium dioxide. It is seemed that ultrasonic individually or combined with other processes can be relay on. organic phosphorous pesticides degradation in aqueous solution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
