Abstract

A report from Assiut University in Egypt discusses the potential use of nanocurcumin as a therapeutic candidate for trichinellosis, a parasitic disease. The study found that nanocurcumin was effective in reducing pathogenesis and parasitological factors in mice infected with Trichinella spiralis. The treated groups showed a decrease in the number of intestinal worms and encysted larvae, as well as a reduction in inflammation. The researchers concluded that nanocurcumin has the potential to modulate biological activity against inflammation. This research has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
