Abstract
- This article presents a study that investigated the relationship between atopic conditions and systemic sclerosis (SSc) in patients. The study found that SSc patients with atopic conditions were significantly associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Additionally, patients with atopy had fewer telangiectasias and a lower frequency of digital ulcers, which are indicators of PAH. However, the study had limitations, such as being conducted at a single center and relying on self-reported symptoms of atopy. More research is necessary to validate these findings in larger patient populations. [Extracted from the article]
