Abstract: The purpose of this study case is to assess the total resistance and investigate the fluid flow around a scale model catamaran varying distance between the diametral planes of the two hulls. This study is focused on accurately determining the total resistance encountered by the catamaran while it moves through water and, additionally, on understanding how the fluid flow behaves around the vessel with these design variables.
