Abstract
- A researcher from Maastricht University Medical Center has published findings on the use of ultra-high-frequency electrocardiography (UHF-ECG) in cardiac pacing and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). The UHF-ECG technique allows for instantaneous analysis of electrical dyssynchrony, which is crucial for these therapies. The review explores the physiological background of higher frequencies in ventricular conduction and the clinical application of UHF-ECG. The research suggests that UHF-ECG can aid in patient selection for CRT and evaluate ventricular activation during different forms of conduction system pacing. It also holds promise for risk stratification of ventricular arrhythmias. [Extracted from the article]
