Abstract
- Skiers are increasingly heading to Scandinavia instead of the Alps due to rising winter temperatures in the Alps and the guaranteed snow in Scandinavia. The Stöten resort in Sweden has seen a boost in business, with sales of ski passes up 22% for the season. Other resorts in Scandinavia, such as the upcoming Björnrike Syd resort, are also attracting snow-starved tourists. Nordic ski resorts may even benefit from climate change in the future, as they could become a "last resort" for the European ski industry. [Extracted from the article]
