Abstract
- This article presents a study on the use of biomarkers, specifically neuron-specific enolase (NSE), in predicting the prognosis of cardiac arrest survivors. The study found that combining NSE values with other predictors improved the accuracy of prognostic predictions compared to using single predictors alone. The article also includes a table comparing different combinations of predictors and their performance in determining poor neurological outcomes. The study suggests that using a multi-modal approach that incorporates NSE levels can enhance the accuracy of outcome predictions, although further research is needed to confirm these findings.
