Abstract

A recent study conducted at the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine explored the feasibility of using a multi-parametric MRI technique called MULTIPLEX for the clinical assessment of Parkinson's disease (PD). The study involved 27 PD patients and 23 healthy control participants who underwent MULTIPLEX scanning. The results showed that MULTIPLEX could potentially assist in PD diagnosis and provide information about the subcortical nucleus and dopaminergic midbrain regions in PD patients. The study suggests that this MRI technique may have clinical applications in the future. [Extracted from the article]
