Abstract
- This article discusses the development of a composite material for lithium-ion batteries that is made up of tin-based oxide microspheres reinforced by Al2O3 and CNTs. The researchers used a microwave-assisted method to create the composite, which showed better lithium storage performance compared to other electrode materials. The composite had a higher capacity, improved cycling stability, and better rate performance. The researchers attribute these improvements to the combination of SnO2, Al2O3, CNTs, and the unique structure of the composite. This research offers a potential solution for high-capacity and long-lasting lithium-ion batteries by addressing the challenges of low initial efficiency and capacity loss in SnO2-based electrodes.
