Abstract
- The University of Bristol and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have received a £225 million grant from the UK government to develop Isambard-AI, the country's fastest supercomputer. Isambard-AI will be 10 times more powerful than the current fastest supercomputer in the UK and will be used for AI-driven research. The supercomputer will be based on the HPE Cray EX system and will feature NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and HPE Slingshot 11 interconnect. It is expected to be operational in the summer of 2024 and will support various organizations in harnessing the power of AI for applications such as drug discovery and climate research.
