Abstract

This article explores the issue of labial swelling and pain experienced by women cyclists. It discusses the lack of conversation and practical advice surrounding this issue, leading many women to resort to surgery in order to continue riding. The article presents survey results showing that a significant number of female cyclists experience long-term genital swelling or disfigurement. It delves into the causes of these injuries, such as pressure and crush injuries, and emphasizes the importance of addressing saddle issues promptly. The article also discusses the development of specialized saddles designed to alleviate these problems. The author highlights the need to break the silence around women's sexual health and the cultural stigma surrounding these issues. [Extracted from the article]
