Abstract
- A recent systematic review and meta-analysis conducted by researchers from Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil, aimed to assess patient satisfaction with telemedicine consultations and identify factors that influence satisfaction levels. The review included 147 cross-sectional studies, with 107 meeting the inclusion criteria for the meta-analysis. Overall, patient satisfaction with teleconsultations was found to be high, with satisfaction levels ranging from 38 to 100 on a scale of 0 to 100. However, the majority of studies used nonvalidated satisfaction questionnaires, highlighting the need for standardized measurement instruments. The researchers concluded that further research is needed to develop validated satisfaction measurement tools and explore additional factors that influence patient satisfaction with telemedicine.
