Abstract

A study conducted at State University Maringa in Brazil has explored the use of nanofibers for the treatment of chronic wounds. The researchers developed nanofibers containing a mixture of polymers, silver nanoparticles, and curcumin, which showed promising results in sterilization and tissue repair. Various analysis techniques were used to characterize the nanofibers, including microscopy and spectroscopy. The study also demonstrated the effectiveness of the nanofibers in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans, a common fungal infection. Overall, this research suggests that nanofibers could be a valuable tool in improving wound healing and treatment. [Extracted from the article]
