Abstract

Professor Paul A. Keddy, a renowned ecologist, conservationist, and naturalist, passed away in December 2023. He made significant contributions to the fields of wetland ecology, ecological competition, and plant ecology. Throughout his career, he focused on applying scientific principles to the sustainable management of natural landscapes and the conservation of species. Keddy's research included groundbreaking experiments on wetland plant communities and the development of theories on competition and ecological organization.
