Measuring Planetary Eco-Emotions: A Systematic Review of Currently Available Instruments and Their Psychometric Properties.

This article discusses the lack of unified definitions and assessment tools for measuring emotions associated with the climate crisis. The aim of the systematic review is to identify and evaluate psychometric instruments used to measure these emotions and to identify any gaps in the existing research. The review found 10 different psychometric scales, with four focusing on anxiety and the remaining six focusing on combinations of other negative emotions. The definitions of these emotions were inconsistent across papers, and most of the instruments were developed in the Global North.
