Abstract

The article discusses the creation of the Young Stroke Latin American Task Force (ALATAC), a regional initiative aimed at empowering young medical professionals to reduce the burden of stroke in Latin America. The task force consists of early-career stroke neurologists, neurointerventionalists, and physicians from 17 Latin American countries. ALATAC is structured into six committees, each with a specific focus, such as education, implementation, investigation, mentoring, social media, and empowering young women in stroke. The task force aims to improve stroke research, education, prevention, and treatment access in the region through collaboration and networking opportunities. [Extracted from the article]
