Abstract

This article describes a case of a 73-year-old man who experienced sudden vision loss in both eyes. The examination revealed white lesions in the posterior pole of the eyes, indicating Purtscher-like retinopathy. Further investigations confirmed a diagnosis of giant cell arteritis. Purtscher-like retinopathy is a rare condition characterized by sudden visual loss and retinal whitening. This case is unique because it is the first reported instance of Purtscher-like retinopathy following giant cell arteritis. It emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to prevent vision loss. [Extracted from the article]
