Abstract
- A new study conducted by researchers at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has found that the ARCOS Modular Femoral Revision System is effective in the medium term for patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty. The study followed 74 patients over a minimum of 5 years and found a 100% femoral survival rate with no revisions of the femoral component. Patients also showed consistent improvement in hip scores and quality of life measures. The system, which aims to preserve femoral bone stock, offers a range of options and avoids the need for conversion to an endoprosthetic. [Extracted from the article]
