Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Charotar University of Science and Technology in Gujarat, India, explored the potential spermatogenic effects of Chlorophytum borivilianum Santapau & R.R.Fern. on rats. The study found that the alcoholic extract and n-Butanol fraction of Chlorophytum borivilianum increased testicular testosterone levels and altered the expression of certain steroidogenic enzymes. These changes were associated with an increase in sperm concentration and improvements in histological markers of spermatogenesis. The study suggests that Chlorophytum borivilianum may have potential as a natural remedy for male infertility. [Extracted from the article]
