Abstract

This article discusses a study that aimed to standardize the parallel enteral catheter (PEC) method for endoscopic ultrasound-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE). The study involved 38 patients with unresectable malignant gastric outlet obstruction (GOO) who underwent EUS-GE using the PEC method. The results showed that the PEC method was consistently reproducible across operators with varying levels of experience and was associated with high technical success rates and relatively short procedure times. The study concludes that the PEC method for EUS-GE is a reliable and effective technique. [Extracted from the article]
