Abstract
- A recent report from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in Iran discusses a study on osteoporosis. The researchers conducted an in-situ synthesis of a coating containing an osteoporosis drug on an AZ31 magnesium alloy substrate. Various characterization techniques were used to analyze the coating, which showed enhanced hydrophilicity, improved corrosion resistance, and reduced porosity. The study also found sustained drug release and progressive biodegradation of the coating. The research concluded that kinetic control was the rate-controlling step in the electrochemical interface. This study provides valuable insights into the development of coatings for osteoporosis treatment. [Extracted from the article]
