Abstract

A recent study by ASIC's Moneysmart has found that young women in Australia, particularly those in Generation Z, are more likely than their male counterparts to feel stressed and overwhelmed by financial concerns. The research shows that Gen Z women are more likely to be severely stressed about the cost of living, feel overwhelmed by finances, have no personal savings, and use buy-now-pay-later services. This gender gap in personal finance is consistent with international data and perpetuates harmful stereotypes about young women and money. In other news, a police officer and a court official were tragically killed while serving eviction papers in Missouri. The suspect, who was being evicted over unpaid taxes, opened fire on the officers, resulting in the deaths of Officer Cody Allen and server Drexel Mack. The incident highlights the risks faced by law enforcement and process servers in their daily work. [Extracted from the article]
