Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Houston examined the utilization of immunotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in Texas before and after FDA approval. The study found that while immunotherapy has shown significant benefits for NSCLC, Texas ranks below the national average in access to treatment. The research also revealed that socioeconomic factors, such as poverty level and insurance status, influenced the likelihood of receiving immunotherapy. The findings highlight the need for state health policy reforms and tailored cancer care strategies to address these disparities. [Extracted from the article]
