Abstract

This article discusses a study conducted in India on the significance of serum electrolyte disturbance in the late stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study found that there were significant changes in serum phosphate and serum calcium levels in patients undergoing dialysis compared to those in the pre-dialysis stage. The study highlights the importance of monitoring and predicting electrolyte disturbance to delay the progression and reduce complications of CKD. The authors emphasize the need for effective management of CKD through regular monitoring of electrolyte levels. [Extracted from the article]
