Abstract

A recent report from the Hospital for Special Surgery discusses the clinical relevance of different antiphospholipid antibody (aPL) profiles in pediatric rheumatology patients. The study found that an initial high-risk aPL profile persisted in approximately 90% of the patients, with a third of them experiencing thrombosis and half experiencing non-thrombotic aPL manifestations. These findings highlight the need for further research to better understand and characterize aPL-related manifestations in pediatric patients with persistent high-risk aPL profiles.
