Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich explores the effects of social and dimensional comparisons on test anxiety in students. The study utilizes a nested factor modeling approach to examine the relationship between academic self-concepts, worry, and emotionality in the math and verbal domains. The findings suggest that the nested factor model approach enhances predictions within the generalized internal/external frame of reference (GI/E) model, particularly in relation to dimensional comparisons. This research provides valuable insights into the structural representations of hierarchical constructs in anxiety disorders. [Extracted from the article]
