Researchers at Warsaw University of Life Sciences conducted a study to evaluate the effects of a Cannabis sativa extract rich in cannabidiol (CBD) on chickens under induced stress conditions. The study involved administering subclinical doses of inflammation-inducing bacteria and lipopolysaccharide commonly found in poultry production. The results showed that incorporating a 30 g/1000 g CBD additive in chicken diets led to an increase in body weight and maintained weight under stressed conditions without adverse effects on slaughter analysis.
