Abstract

Struggling readers are often limited to the amount of grade level content they can independently access. This can lead to them reading less complex texts which can limit the depth of understanding of a given topic. This article discusses the benefits of allowing students to access audiobooks or orally read texts, and then discusses some of the benefits and drawbacks of several popular audiotext options.
