Abstract

This article discusses the ideal conditions for housing horses in stables. While stables provide a safe space for feeding, training, and nursing care, they can also cause stress and health issues for horses due to their confinement. Recent research has focused on improving the stable environment to promote the physical health and psychological well-being of horses. This includes allowing physical and visual contact between horses in adjacent stables, providing nutritious forage, ensuring good ventilation, and enriching the stable environment with alternative forages and interactive toys. The article emphasizes the importance of considering the natural behaviors and needs of horses when designing and managing stables. [Extracted from the article]
