Abstract

This article presents the papers which discuss agricultural economics. An article discusses two primary determinants of today's agricultural work force characteristics: (1) continued rapid technological innovations in production leading to reduced labor demand, and; (2) steady supply of unauthorized and largely Mexican immigrant workers. Authors of another article highlight the short- and long-term costs and benefits associated with farm work. And the succeeding article focuses on a rarely studied aspect of farm workers' well-being and health, using an array of health indicators.
