Abstract

This article, published in the journal Environment & Ecology, presents a study on genetic variability and cause-effect relationships in aromatic rice. The study analyzed twenty different rice genotypes to determine the genetic variability and correlation between various agro-morphological characters. The results showed that selecting for certain traits such as flag leaf angle, panicle exertion, and test weight could effectively improve rice yield. The study also emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between morphological architecture and physiological rhythm for optimal yield. The document provides data on quantitative characters and their correlation with grain yield, as well as a table showing the correlation between various traits and grain yield in rice. The conclusion suggests that selecting for larger flag leaf area, higher spikelet fertility, and greater grain weight while restricting selection for panicle number, plant height, and flag leaf angle would increase rice grain yield. The document also references other studies on genetic variability and yield analysis in rice. [Extracted from the article]
