Abstract

Yasmin Oliveira and Guilherme Noce Casagrande chose an unconventional venue for their wedding by getting married at the Australian Red Cross Blood Clinic in Sydney while donating blood and plasma. The couple, originally from Brazil, wanted a small ceremony that was meaningful to both of them. They walked down the aisle between donation stations while phlebotomists cheered them on. The unique wedding location was the idea of celebrant Michael Teulon, who has been donating blood for over 20 years. The couple hopes to have a traditional wedding in Brazil in the future.
