Seven Women Scholars Appointed to New Faculty Positions.

Abstract

This article provides a roundup of seven women scholars who have been appointed to new faculty positions at various universities in the United States. Christine Brodsky has been appointed chair of the biology and chemistry departments at Pittsburg State University. Rachel Smith has joined the faculty of the Jewish studies program at the University of California, Irvine. Elizabeth Selvin has been named director of the Welch Center for Epidemiology and Clinical Research at Johns Hopkins University. Ayşegül Şahin will join Princeton University as a professor of economics and public health. Elizabeth Hordge-Freeman has been named an associate professor at Rice University. Carole Murphey has been appointed director of the Mississippi Judicial College at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
