Abstract

This article presents the findings of a retrospective study conducted in Greece to evaluate the utilization trends of biologics in patients with psoriasis. The study analyzed data from 2015 to 2020 and found that the number of psoriasis patients receiving biologic treatment more than doubled during this period. There was a decrease in the use of anti-TNF agents and an increase in the use of anti-IL prescriptions. The study also observed variations in the most prescribed drugs for different patient groups. The findings align with global trends of increasing biologic use and the gradual replacement of TNF inhibitors with IL inhibitors. The study was supported by a research grant from LEO Pharma, but the company had no involvement in the study design or data analysis. [Extracted from the article]
