Abstract
- According to a report by CareEdge Ratings, India's data centre capacity is expected to double to 2,000 MW by 2026 as the country moves towards a developed market economy and embraces green energy solutions. This growth is also expected to attract significant investment, with an estimated ₹50,000 crore in capital expenditure over the next three years. The data centre industry is projected to experience a revenue growth of 32% from FY24 to FY26. In contrast, Infosys, one of India's major IT companies, saw a significant drop in campus hires, with only 11,900 recruits in FY24 compared to 50,000 the previous year. This decline reflects a challenging job market for engineering graduates, as IT companies anticipate slow growth for the fiscal year. [Extracted from the article]
