Abstract
- A new study on lung cancer has been conducted by researchers at CPSI Biotech. The study investigated the response of lung cancer cells to cryoablation and adjunctive gemcitabine-based cryo-chemotherapy using the A549 cell line. The results showed that repeat freezing to -20 °C to -25 °C resulted in a high degree of lung cancer destruction. Additionally, the combination of gemcitabine pretreatment and freezing shifted the minimum lethal temperature for lung cancer from -25 °C to -15 °C. These findings suggest that cryoablation alone or in combination with chemotherapy may provide an improved treatment option for lung cancer. [Extracted from the article]
