Abstract

A new study published in the medical journal Neurology suggests that certain drugs may decrease the risk of a bleeding stroke caused by a ruptured brain aneurysm. The study found that four drugs, including lisinopril, simvastatin, metformin, and tamsulosin, were associated with a decreased risk of a ruptured brain aneurysm. However, the study only shows an association and does not prove that these drugs actually reduce the risk. Further research is needed to investigate these associations and determine the effectiveness of these drugs in preventing hemorrhagic stroke. [Extracted from the article]
