Level of Awareness on Philippines Native Games among Basic Education Students of Saint Michael College of Caraga.

Native games are more than just games. They built body and spirit through exercise and played by all age groups, children, youth, and adults. This study aimed to identify the level of awareness on Philippines native games among the grade 7 student at Saint Michael College of Caraga. The researchers used descriptive design to gather the necessary data needed to determine the Level of Awareness on the Philippines Native Games among Basic Education of Saint Michael College of Caraga. The research had 113 respondents from two Grade 7 online sections, namely: St. Anne and St. Mary. The data were tallied and analyzed using frequency and percentage, weighted mean, and correlation as statistical tools. The study found that among the seven Philippine native games, the respondents were moderately aware of the two native games, namely Piko and Siato, while the rest were slightly aware. It was recommended that presenting the Philippine native games in a new light could give the youth a renewed outlook on Philippine culture and environment. Moreover, the administrators should support any programs and initiatives that would make the whole students, school personnel, and even the community familiar with the Philippine Native Games.
