Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, has developed a new method for the rapid and sensitive detection of foodborne pathogens without carryover contamination. The method, called one-pot dual-CRISPR/Cas12b mediated dUTP-LAMP, does not require nucleic acid extraction and can achieve high specificity in detecting Salmonella within one hour. The researchers successfully tested the method on real samples of milk, fruit, and eggs, demonstrating its practical significance for food safety. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in the journal Food Bioscience. [Extracted from the article]
