New businesses to get off ground in Azerbaijan's Aghdam industrial park.

Abstract

Azerbaijan's Aghdam Industrial Park is set to welcome over five new businesses this year, according to Seymur Adigozalov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones. The park, established in May 2021, covers an area of 190 hectares and currently has 23 resident businesses and 6 non-resident entrepreneurs. These entities have invested over 200.6 million manat ($117.9 million) and created around 1,900 job opportunities. The park is expected to house enterprises producing ventilation, fire-fighting equipment, metal products, construction materials, electrical distribution equipment, railway equipment, wallpaper, shoes, and more.
