Abstract
- A recent study conducted at the University of Mississippi has found that the Fisher repair technique is an effective method for revising cleft lip surgeries. The researchers collected data from cleft lip revisions performed at a children's hospital between October 2018 and July 2021. The study included 65 patients, and the majority of them underwent the Fisher repair technique for their revision. The researchers concluded that the Fisher repair technique addresses the shortcomings of previous repair techniques and leads to improved lip aesthetics. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in the Annals of Plastic Surgery. [Extracted from the article]
