Abstract
- Researchers from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in Russia have conducted a study to analyze the long-term outcomes of biatrial Cox-Maze IV cryoablation in combined cardiac surgery. The study involved 88 patients who underwent this procedure, and the results showed that cryoablation using the maze procedure is a safe method with a high likelihood of restoring sinus rhythm. The study also reported a hospital mortality rate of 1.1% and survival rates of 88.9% at 1 year and 73.5% at 4 years. The research provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of this cardiac surgery technique. [Extracted from the article]
