Abstract

A study conducted in Beijing, China examined the effects of different anesthesia methods on pain relief and cognitive function in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy. The study found that combining general anesthesia with anterior serratus muscle plane block resulted in shorter postoperative recovery time, reduced hospitalization length, improved cognitive function, and decreased adverse events compared to patient-controlled intravenous anesthesia. The researchers concluded that combining single anterior serratus muscle plane block with patient-controlled intravenous analgesia provided the best analgesic effect, reduced adverse reactions, and enhanced postoperative recovery and cognitive function. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. [Extracted from the article]
