Abstract

A preprint abstract from medrxiv.org discusses a study on the dosimetry of [64Cu]FBP8, a fibrin-binding PET probe. The study included 8 healthy subjects who underwent PET/MRI sessions to evaluate the biodistribution, safety, and dosimetry estimates of [64Cu]FBP8. The results showed fast blood clearance and renal excretion of the probe, low background signal, and low dosimetry estimates. The study suggests that [64Cu]FBP8 has the potential to be used for non-invasive imaging of fibrin in cardiovascular, oncological, and neurological conditions. However, it is important to note that this preprint has not been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
