Ulta-High Frequency Ultrasound Assessment of Normal Versus Gingivitis Affected Gingival Tissues.

A clinical trial has been launched to compare the clinical aspects of gingival tissue in healthy patients versus patients with gingivitis. Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums caused by bacterial accumulation and is a primary risk factor for the development of periodontitis. The study aims to assess the ultrastructural variations present in the course of inflammation by using ultra-high frequency ultrasonographic scans of gingival tissue.
